Admissions

Teesside High School has been at the forefront of independent education in the region for over fifty years.

Regularly named as one of the best independent schools in the North East (The Sunday Times, 2021), we offer an inspiring 3-18 education based on the development of the whole child.

We are a school which adds significant value above and beyond predicted grades, challenges the gifted, supports those less able and offers personalised learning in small classes, all the while acknowledging that academic excellence is by no means the only ingredient to a rounded education.

We value diversity, promote inclusivity, offer an exceptional range of enrichment and co-curricular opportunities, introduce new interests and build on shared passions, creating an environment our parents so often commend as nurturing, caring and friendly.

Why Choose Us?

Teesside High School is a small school that focuses on the needs of the individual child, through a warm and nurturing ethos. We set our sights high in our academic aspirations, but just as importantly, we believe that the education of a child outside of the classroom is just as important as it seeks to build character and life-long skills. We do this through sport, music, drama and the Duke of Edinburgh Award, to name just a few strands of what we believe education is truly about.

We find most parents believe our website and prospectus cannot do our unique atmosphere and personalised learning environment justice. This will give you the opportunity to discuss your individual circumstances and ask any questions you may have about Teesside High School or independent education in general.
