Little Diamonds Nursery
The youngest children in our school take their first steps in education in our exciting and vibrant Little Diamonds Nursery. They enjoy all aspects of school life in a happy, caring and stimulating environment and are given every opportunity to grow, develop and flourish.
Every child here at Teesside High School is unique, with their own interests, experiences and personal qualities. We work closely with parents to ensure the happiness and well being of every child in our care. Children are able to grow in confidence and maturity within the secure family atmosphere of Teesside High School.
Our bright, spacious nursery provides the most welcoming and engaging environment to make your child's first experience at school happy and stimulating. Our dedicated staff are committed to providing a caring environment where high quality play and education are used to encourage your child's intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. Children learn best when they are having fun. Our children are given every opportunity to learn through a combination of structured play and inspirational teacher led activities in order to achieve the Early Learning Goals identified within the 'Early Years Foundation Stage'.
We offer a curriculum, which is based on children learning through planned, purposeful play-based activities. This allows children to become confident learners; exploring and investigating at their own pace through valuable first hand experiences.
Children in Foundation Stage have access to our secure outdoor play area as well as our superb school grounds - perfect for woodland walks and observing changes in the weather and seasons.
Boys and girls in the Little Diamonds Nursery are offered a variety of enrichment activities and school trips which take place outside the classroom and provide 'real-life' experiences for our children.
The School day starts at 8.40am and finishes at 3.25pm. Parents who require wrap around care are able to access a breakfast club that runs from 7.45am until school starts and a tea club that is available between 3.25pm and 6.00pm. Many young children may initially come to us part-time and gradually increase their sessions.
Throughout the school holidays, full-time care is offered where qualified staff provide structured fun activities for the children from 8.30am to 5.30pm daily. A programme of the activities, planned for each holiday, is available towards the end of each term.
