Charles Atha

Governor

I was educated at Rugby School, followed by Newcastle University where I spent most of the time playing rugby and trying to find the library. I obtained a Law Degree together with a Professional Qualification and I eventually persuaded the Law Society to admit me as a Solicitor in March 1987.

I initially practised in Newcastle and then moved to Teesside some years later. I live in Stokesley, am married to Katherine, and between us we have five children who have now grown up and have lives of their own! My hobbies are flying (I have held a Private Pilots Licence for the past 25 years), classic Jaguars and golf. I am occasionally let loose with a paint brush, but I am banned, permanently, from any other form of decorating and also allergic to ironing boards!

I was appointed Governor at Teesside High School in 2009.
