Little Diamonds Nursery

The youngest children in our school take their first steps in education in our exciting and vibrant Little Diamonds Nursery. They enjoy all aspects of school life in a happy, caring and stimulating environment and are given every opportunity to grow, develop and flourish.

Every child at Teesside High School is seen as a special individual, for all our pupils have their own interests, experiences and personal qualities. We work closely with parents to ensure the happiness and well being of every child in our care. Children are able to grow in confidence and maturity within the secure family atmosphere of Teesside High School.

Our bright, spacious nursery provides the most welcoming and engaging environment to make your child’s first experience at school happy and stimulating. The dedicated, fully qualified teaching staff are committed to providing a caring environment where high quality play and education are used to encourage each child’s intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. Children learn best when they are having fun. Our children are given every opportunity to learn through a combination of structured play and stimulating teacher-led activities in order to achieve the Learning Goals identified within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We offer a curriculum based on children learning through planned, purposeful play-based activities. This allows children to become confident learners, exploring and investigating at their own pace through valuable first hand experiences.

Children in the Foundation Stage have access to a secure outdoor play area as well as our magnificent school grounds – perfect for woodland walks and observing changes in the weather and seasons.

Boys and girls in the Little Diamonds Nursery are offered a variety of enrichment activities and school trips which take place outside the classroom and provide ‘real-life’ experiences for our children.

The School day starts at 8.40am and finishes at 3.30pm. Parents who require ‘wrap-around-care’ are able to access a breakfast club that runs from 7.45am until school starts and a tea club that is available between 3.30pm and 6.00pm. Many young children may initially come to us part-time, though it does not seem too long before they are keen to increase the number of sessions attended.

Mornings or afternoons FREE in our Little Diamonds Nursery. Click here for more information
