Prep Exhibition Scholarships

The Governors of Teesside High School have recently reviewed the Scholarships and Bursaries Policy and added some new Scholarships to our current offering.

One of the changes is the introduction on Exhibitions with a value of £500 per annum in the Prep School. There will be:

  • Sport and Mathematics Exhibition Scholarships in Year 3
  • Science and Music Exhibition Scholarships in Year 5

Up to two awards will be made in each category each year. Exhibitions may be converted into Scholarships in Year 7 if progress is considered to be excellent.

It is a great honour to be awarded a Scholarship or Exhibition and we are thereby acknowledging that the award holders have a particular gift or talent academically or in another area. We will undertake to mentor these children carefully but will also expect them to play a full role in the life of the school and to be prepared to represent the school at events.

If you wish your child to be considered for any of these awards, please contact the School on 01642 782095 or email info@teessidehigh.co.uk

Bursaries

Bursaries may only be awarded in the Senior School to those families with the most limited of means who are most likely to benefit from the education offered at the School.

They may also be awarded in the Sixth Form to local pupils whose parents have limited financial means, and sometimes these are available to help families who already have a place at the School, but whose circumstances have changed significantly during their time here.

The Hurworth House Bursary

In honour of Hurworth House School, we have a new fund for specific postcodes in Darlington and the surrounding areas. If you live in the postcode areas DL1, DL2, DL3, DL6 or DL7 you may be eligible for a Hurworth House Bursary of up to £2,000 per academic year for your children*. You may also be eligible for further assistance through our standard bursary scheme. Please contact our Finance Manager on 01642 782095 or email info@teessidehigh.co.uk for more details.
