Sixth Form Trips, Sports & Activities

To complement the term time work and study at all levels of the School from Prep through High School to the Sixth Form we offer a range of trips outside of the curriculum, the classroom and often outside the country.

These include activity trips and holidays, from Boggle Hole to Ireland, field trips to a range of locations which might include museums and castles or a study of the River Tees, or even a trip to Cadbury’s World! Our youngsters get the opportunity to participate in a wide range of outdoor activities, which can include rock climbing, sailing and canoeing. There are frequent excursions to the sights of London and Edinburgh, visiting galleries and museums.

Our boys and girls have the opportunity to take cultural trips to Germany and France, while each year the intrepid can take part in a week’s skiing, whatever their experience or ability level! In the last few years trips have gone to the French, Italian and Austrian Alps, as well as to the USA – a holiday which climaxed with a visit to New York. Hockey and netball teams have toured Australia, New Zealand and Fiji while expeditions to Borneo, Namibia, China and Mongolia, and Thailand have taken pupils to areas far from the usual holiday routes.
