Teesside High School students are celebrating record A Level results this morning. The school in Eaglescliffe has secured a 100% pass rate, with a record percentage at A* and A grades,  and 93% at A*-C.
Among the exceptional success stories of the year group were Lucia Holdhusen (with A* in Maths, Further Maths and Physics), Mark Horton (A* in Maths and As in Physics and Chemistry) and Heather Steele (As in Biology, Chemistry and History). These and many other students have secured their first choice of university for the forthcoming academic year.
Headteacher, Andrew Wilson, said the School was delighted with this year’s results. ‘I congratulate all of our students on their results. It is testament to their hard work over the last two years and the quality of teaching and individual support they have received. The Sixth Form at Teesside High School offers  small class sizes that are unrivalled in the area, a generous amount of contact and teaching time with pupils, and a high level of individual support through the university process, all in our new, purpose-built Sixth Form centre on the banks of the River Tees’.
