The Year 7 pair travelled to Birmingham to compete in the annual event, which saw them move up a competitor age category and line up against athletes much older than themselves.
They secured the following:

  • Imogen: Silver in cycling and discus, Bronze in shotput and hockey.

The girls are busy preparing to represent Team GB at the World Dwarf Games in Ontario, Canada, this summer.
Kirsty Mackenzie, Acting Head at Teesside High School, said: “It goes without saying that we are incredibly proud of Amelia and Imogen following their achievement at last weekend’s National Dwarf Games.
“The girls’ attitude and commitment is second to none and does not stop at sport; both Amelia and Imogen are active participants in a wide range of our extensive co-curricular activities and regular faces in our music concerts and drama performances.
“The girls did not waste a moment preparing for these Games. They often spent break and lunch times with our specialist Sport coaches, carefully perfecting their techniques. They truly deserve every success.”
