Extremism and Radicalisation (February 2016)

Tuesday 02 February 2016 | By Samantha Hockney

There have been comments in the press lately about requirements placed upon schools to help combat the risk of children being radicalised by extremist groups. Whilst a recent risk assessment of Teesside High School students indicated a low risk in our school, parents should nevertheless be aware that staff have undergone training to highlight how to identify concerns and address them should such concerns arise.
In order to support parents, this week the government announced a website containing lots of useful information and advice. Please click HERE if you would like to visit this website.

Parents are reminded that any concerns about a child’s safety can be directed towards our Designated Safeguarding Officer Miss Stephens or one of her deputies, Mrs Williams, Mrs Hannah or Mr Herbert.
