GCSE Celebrations

Teesside High School students are celebrating a successful set of GCSE results. The school in Eaglescliffe has secured a 100% pass rate, and over 40% of these with A* or A grades.
Among the exceptional success stories of the year group were a group of pupils who all achieved more than 10 A*/A grades; Ruth Dale (12, all at A*), Sarah Bennett (12, including 11 at A*), Emma Southall (11 with 10 at A*), Caitlin Bell, (10 at A*/A), Samah Khan (10 at A*/A), Phoebe Neaum Davis (10 at A*/A), and Flora Thu-Ta (11 at A*/A).
Headteacher, Andrew Wilson, said the School was delighted with this year’s results. ‘I congratulate all of our students on their results today. They have worked incredibly hard over the last two years for these grades, and the dedication from our teaching staff to help them achieve these results is extremely commendable. I am particularly delighted with our impressive results in STEM subjects. Many of these students are looking forward to continuing their studies with us in the Sixth Form and taking advantage of our small class sizes, generous contact time and the individual support they receive in the next important step in their education’.
In the midst of the celebrations and successes of the Year 11 this morning, more good news to report from lower down the school. All pupils in Year 10 who sat their Maths GCSE a year early this summer have passed with flying colours; all of them achieving A* or A grades, with the majority at A*.
Well done to you all.
