GCSE results day 2016

Teesside High School has secured impressive increases in both its GCSE pass rate (including English and Maths) and the number of students who successfully achieved the prestigious English Baccalaureate (EBacc).
Teesside High School achieved:

  • An excellent 100% GCSE pass rate
  • 91% 5 A*-C grades
  • 85% 5 A*-C including English and maths, up from 80% in 2015
  • 70% of students achieved The English Baccalaurate (English, Maths, Science, a humanity and a language), up from 57% in 2015
  • Twelve students achieved A*-C grades in GCSE Further Maths, with two students securing prestigious A** grades.

Andrew Wilson, Headteacher at Teesside High School, said: “These impressive results are testament to both our hard-working students, who have shown great levels of determination and commitment over the past two years, and our dedicated staff team, who go above and beyond to ensure every student at Teesside High achieves their full potential.
“I am particularly delighted with the School’s excellent results in STEM subjects, including 100% pass rates in single GCSE Science subjects and two students securing outstanding A** grades in GCSE Further Maths.
“We look forward to welcoming many of our Year 11 students to the School’s Sixth Form in September.”
