Head’s blog – Teesside High School

It has been a very busy final few days of term; I do hope you are looking forward to a restful break over the Easter holiday.

Our 40 skiing enthusiasts in the Senior School are all set and ready to begin their journey to Austria.  The weather forecast looks positive and we are sure to have a great time; we will keep in touch with both home and school and post lots of photographs to our social media accounts – watch this space.

Our Readathon initiative has once again been launched by the English department and we hope to encourage as many of our children and young people to spend time reading in the holidays.  Sponsorship will be collected following the Easter break; we most appreciate your support.

I wish to send my congratulations to our sporting teams for a number of outstanding seasons.  This week we learnt that our U12, U14 and U16 girls each secured their County hockey league titles, with the U13 team finishing in a close Runners Up position.  As a small school, we continue to punch above our weight in terms of sporting prowess and I am incredibly proud of our students’ spirit, passion and achievements.

I look forward to seeing you at one of the many events we are hosting in the summer term, not least the much anticipated Summer Fair on Saturday 11 May.
