Teesside High School Sixth Form has been recognised as performing ‘well above average’ in terms of A-level progress by the Department of Education.

In the latest league tables published by the government, Teesside High School students are recognised as making more progress than students at other institutions who achieved similar results at the end of Year 11.
Kirsty Mackenzie, Deputy Head (Academic), said: “It is so pleasing to see the success of THS Sixth Form students recognised in Department for Education performance tables.
“This is an excellent accolade, and testament to our dedicated staff, hard working students, and inclusive belief that everyone, regardless of ability, can achieve their full potential and beyond.”
Over two thirds of Teesside High School Sixth Form students secured places at Russell Group universities in 2017, including Oxford, Imperial College London, Newcastle and Sheffield. The School consistently achieves outstanding results at A-level, including a 100% pass rate and record high grades last year.
