We are so proud to announce the success of one of our Senior School pupils and county cricketers.
Yash, Year 8 student and talented sportsman, received a number of awards and accolades at the Yorkshire County Cricket Awards on Friday 4 November. They included: The Alan Shaw Silver Salver for the best cricket player amongst all junior age groups (10-15 years) and Player of the Year for the U12A team. Yash scored the highest number of runs in the 2016 U12A team (614, including two centuries) and took the highest number of wickets (23).
Yash also scooped 1st place in ‘Top 5 Most Valuable Players of the Season’ for Yorkshire and, in the same season, scored a further 510 runs for Cleveland County!
He was presented with his awards by England’s Tim Bresnan, a two-time Ashes winner.
Outstanding work. Well played, Yash.
