Anna Guy

Life before Teesside High School

I was born and raised in the beautiful Tyne Valley and studied French and German at Durham University. I then completed my PGCE at Newcastle University and spent some time working at a translation company in Alnwick before taking up my first teaching position at Teesside High.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Being able to share my passion for French and German with my pupils and having the chance to inspire future linguists.

What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?

The kind, caring environment and the small class sizes which allow me to get to know my pupils as individuals.

What is your favourite time of the year?

I love the springtime and all the different flowers – from the first few snowdrops and daffodils to the cherry blossom and bluebells – with the promise of summer still to come!

What do others say about you?

That I am kind, hard-working and organised.
