Life before Teesside High School

I was a student at Teesside High School from Year 3 to Sixth Form. I then went onto to study at Leeds Beckett University where I gained the role of Lead Student Receptionist for the university alongside my studying.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy the fast-paced working environment and that no two days are ever the same. I love the interaction with students and watching our EYFS children grow and progress through the years and be proud of all the achievement they make whilst at THS.

What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?

The family feel and the close-knit community between staff, pupils and parents. The welcoming atmosphere and the picturesque grounds.

What is your favourite time of the year?

The summer term when the children can really take advantage of our beautiful grounds. They are able to use more of the outdoor playground facilities due to the dry weather and even enjoy a picnic by the pond. There is a different atmosphere in a game of football played in the sunshine overlooking the river by the Astroturf compared with trying to squeeze in a game during damp spells. The summer term sports are always more enjoyable making use of the outdoor space rather than being restricted to the Sports Hall.
