I was born and raised in Stockton before studying French and German at Aston University in Birmingham. After completing my degree, I went to Durham University to do my PGCE. I have taught French and German in a number of schools in the Tees Valley area over the last 25 years.
What do you enjoy most about your subject?
I love German grammar! Particularly word order; I get very excited when I read and hear German where the word order is all correct. I also enjoy spending time with the pupils I teach and taking trips abroad.
What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?
The friendly atmosphere and sense of belonging that everyone has here. I also love the grounds.
What is your favourite time of the year?
Summer, in particular early morning walks with my dog and evening barbecues.
