I taught at a local independent school for six years before working as Head of Music in the state school sector for ten years.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am hugely passionate about extra-curricular activities and love bringing everyone together for a School show – it’s like a musical family.
What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?
My role is really varied so there’s never a dull moment!
What is your favourite time of the year?
I love being outside in the summertime but there’s something really special about being a musician at Christmas – all those carol services and concerts. There’s nothing quite like it.
What do others say about you?
That I’m always spinning lots of plates! As well as teaching Music across the whole school, I’m also a Form Tutor and responsible for creating opportunities to stretch our Able, Gifted & Talented students in the Senior School.
