Rebecca Hall

Teacher

Life before Teesside High School

After completing my schooling at Polam Hall in Darlington, I studied at Cambridge University where I graduated with a degree in Geography and Primary Education. My teaching career began in a local independent school where I taught across the Pre-Prep age range. I have held the position of EYFS coordinator as well as Curriculum Lead for Maths and Computing.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I feel incredibly privileged to be the Nursery Teacher and welcome the youngest members of our school community to life at Teesside High. I strive to develop strong relationships with parents to ensure the very best for every child in my care and create a wonderful environment in Nursery which promotes discovery and a real sense of awe and wonder. When it’s time for the children to transition to Reception class I always enjoy looking back on their Nursery journey as they move on having acquired so many skills which pave the way for a wonderful future.

I also thoroughly enjoy my role as Holiday Camp Manager. This enables me to spend time with both Nursery pupils as well as older children in the Prep School. Seeing the children all enjoying the various trips and activities we offer and making memories together is something I always cherish.

What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?

There is a wonderful atmosphere at Teesside High where all staff work together to support each other in order to provide the very best for all the pupils.

What is your favourite time of the year?

It has to be the summer term when the days are long and we can all enjoy being outside exploring the wonderful grounds here at Teesside High, whilst preparing for the many end of term celebrations.

What do others say about you?

That I’m kind, caring, professional, dedicated and that I always go the extra mile.
