Kirsty Mackenzie

Head

Mrs Mackenzie has always been passionate about Science, enjoying the challenges of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at A-level. She went on to study Physics at the University of Leeds, graduating with a BSc (Hons). Mrs Mackenzie returned to her native North East to achieve a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Durham University in 1996, working in a local secondary school for many years before joining Teesside High School in 2005 as Head of Physics. Mrs Mackenzie has experienced a variety of academic and pastoral management roles in her time at Teesside High before becoming Deputy Head in 2011, and Head in 2018.
