I attended primary and secondary school in Stockton before completing my degree in Psychology at Teesside University. I was always advised to study something I enjoyed and loved studying the behaviour of people. My dissertation investigated links between socio-economic status and academic achievement. I then gained my PGCE at Leeds Met whilst completed the Graduate Teacher Programme through Stockton Borough Council. Before Teesside High, I worked at a local primary school for 13 year with a short break in between when we lived in
America. Whilst there, I worked in a couple of different schools in the city of Savannah, GA.
I love sharing my passion for learning and helping others to develop their passions. I enjoy encouraging children to be the best they can be and sharing with them all the options that life has to offer. I particularly love to share my love of reading – I am very much a book worm – and try to inspire others to read.
I really enjoy getting the opportunity to know all the students in the Prep School. There is very much a family feel to Teesside High, allowing us to get to know each other better and therefore work well together.
I love autumn! I love taking my two dogs on a walk through the crispy leaves and then getting back home to get cosy and read a book!
I am very organised and the ultimate planner! I love to plan memory making activities with all my loved ones, often exploring new places and seeking out new experiences.
