Life before Teesside High School
I graduated with a first class honours degree in Biology and History and went on to teach Science in two secondary schools around Durham and Gateshead.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Getting to know all of the different students, seeing their unique talents and interests and watching them grow through their time in school. It’s a real joy to be a part of some of the biggest years of their lives!
What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?
How enthusiastic and lovely everyone is. It’s so wonderful to be surrounded by so many people who are kind, supportive and keen to get involved in so many different things – that goes for staff and students both!
What is your favourite time of the year?
As much as I thrive in the sun, I actually enjoy Christmas time the most. It’s so fun, everyone is excited for the festive season and I own about 14 different Christmas jumpers. It’s ironic though, as there’s nothing I hate more than the cold weather!
What do others say about you?
It depends who you ask! I’m very supportive, and will do everything I can for my students to help them succeed and be happy.
