Before Teesside High, I studied Classics at Cambridge and completed a PGCE with the University of Sussex.
‘I most enjoy introducing students to the languages and culture of the ancient world. When my pupils realise that Latin is not just an academic discipline, but a unique window into the past, I know that I have succeeded.
Teesside High is small enough to offer frequent, tailored feedback to every student. This allows me to treat my pupils as the individuals they are, and drives engagement in lesson. This is the strongest benefit of the school for me.
My favourite time of the year is autumn, when the days are cool and bright, but before winter sets in.
I would like to think that others would describe me as hardworking, and as someone who cares about those around him.
