Assistant Cook/Catering Assistant

Hours: Whole time, working 9.00am until 3.00pm during term time and 9.00am until 4.30pm during the school holiday).  Job share would be considered for the right candidates. The working day for job share is – during term time 9.00am until 12.00pm and 12.00pm until 3.00pm. During the school holidays 9.00am until 1.00pm and 1.00pm until 4.30pm.

Actual Salary – £12.21 per hour (depending on experience). Enhanced hourly rate is £13.71.

Annual holidays – 23 days per year (pro rata if job share)

This is an exciting time to be joining Teesside High School’s catering team as we are opening Riverbank Nursery for children aged 0-3 years. This a new role for the team and the successful applicant will work closely with the Chef Manager during term time assisting with food preparation and other general catering tasks. During the school holidays, the applicant will have sole responsibility for the catering provision for the Nursery. This will be paid at the enhanced rate.
