Teesside High School celebrates Children in Need – Friday 19 November

Tuesday 16 November 2021 | By Megan Connor

This Friday is Children in Need Day! As in previous years, the whole school will be supporting this very worthy cause both in the days leading up to Friday and on the day itself. This year, we have organised a series of exciting activities.

As usual, the day will be a non-school uniform day. Pupils may choose to attend in their own clothes or official Children in Need merchandise. There will be a minimum donation of £2.00 to be out of uniform on the day.

In the Prep School, across the course of the day, pupils will have the opportunity to take part in a number of activities including a sponsored silence and a game of Strictly Statues. Each Form will also be taking part in a special Pudsey Challenge, with each class aiming to fill a giant letter from Pudsey’s name with spare change.

In the Senior School, Year 12 students will lead the charge with fun events for all including a penalty shootout, bake sale, and games of dodgeball and tug-of-war.

There will also be a chance to reflect on the spirit of charitable fundraising in assemblies this week.

We hope you will send your son/daughter to school armed with plenty of spare change to take part and donate generously. You are also able to contribute any donations to Teesside High School’s Children in Need fundraising via your ParentPay account. Please keep an eye on the school newsletter, THiS Week, and social media for reports of the week’s events as well as the total amount of money raised.

Thank you in advance for your support!
