Wednesday 07 January 2026 | By Erin McKeown

The Modern Foreign Languages Department is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for all students in Years 7-12 to take part in a festive trip to Berlin from Monday 14 December to Thursday 17 December.

Berlin

Berlin is Germany’s vibrant capital, known for its rich history, world-class museum and beautiful art, blending historical landmarks with modern architecture and a famously multicultural vibe. It is known as a global city of culture, politics, science and art. This trip is an ideal opportunity for students to put into practice the German that they learn in school and explore a city of enormous cultural and historical importance.

Trip Itinerary

We will fly to Berlin Brandenburg Airport and will stay in the Meininger Hotel close to the main station in Berlin.  This hotel is ideally suited to school groups visiting the centre of the city.

As well as visiting a range of Christmas Markets across the city, the trip will also cover iconic visits for example; German Parliament Building, the Berlin Wall memorial and Eastside Gallery, the famous Brandenburg Gate and Potdamer Platz.

How do I book a place?

To secure a place, a non-refundable deposit of £150 must be paid via ParentPay. An instalment plan has been circulated to parents with the initial trip letter, too.
