Head’s blog – February

Friday 04 February 2022 | By Megan Connor

I am absolutely delighted to see the hard work and dedication our students demonstrate each and every day begin to pay off. Our Oxbridge success is certainly something to celebrate.

Although it has been a very busy few weeks, we really are just getting started with many more events to come across our remaining two terms.

Our spring term PTA events have been deliberately designed to have a strong social aspect, with the emphasis on parents and families coming together to enjoy relaxing, fun evenings. After all, this has been a long time coming!

The first event our PTA has helped to organise is a Race Night which will take place on Friday 11 March. The evening will consist of eight races with eight horses competing in each. Tickets for the evening cost £10.00 and will include a free race bet and a pie and peas supper.

There will also be a THS Quiz Night which will take place on Friday 13 May – save the date!

Another note for your diaries is our Senior School production of Matilda Junior, which I know from seeing rehearsals myself, promises two amazing evenings on Tuesday 29 March and Wednesday 30 March.

We are also currently in the process of organising a THS Summer Fair in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. This event will honour the very ‘best of British’ with live music, raffles, funfair stalls, delicious food and drink and much more.

It feels amazing to know that there are many events in the calendar to look forward to, where our school family spirit can once again shine through.

I hope you enjoy reading about the many achievements our students have accomplished over the past few weeks.

Have a great weekend. You can find our latest newsletter here.
