High grade success at Teesside High School

Teesside High School Year 13 students Elena and Sam, both 18, were delighted to achieve a combined 7 A* grades at A-level today.

Their results come as Teesside High School students secured an impressive 56% A*-A pass rate, with almost half of all students achieving a straight set of the highest grades.

Elena studied a challenging combination of Chemistry, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics at A-level, whilst Sam opted for Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. They will both progress to study at Durham University to read Psychology and Physics respectively.

  • Ellie – AAA

Kirsty Mackenzie, Head at Teesside High School, said: “Every single Mathematician at THS achieved an A* or an A in this year’s set of A-level results – an outstanding achievement.

“We are beyond proud of our students and wish them all the very best of luck at university. They each have incredibly bright futures ahead.”
