Rome Trip – February 2027

The Classics department is thrilled to offer the opportunity for students from Years 6 to 12 to take part in an exciting trip to Rome, Italy, from Monday 15 February to Thursday 18 February 2027.

This trip will open on ParentPay on Monday 1 September to priority students – those who have expressed an interest in Latin or Classical Civilisation at GCSE/A-level. One week later, should places remain, the trip will open to all pupils in Years 6 to 12.

Rome itinerary

The trip will provide pupils with opportunities to visit the must-see sights of Rome as well as sites of historical significance, some of which feature on the specification for the Latin GCSE examinations in 2027, 2028 and 2029. The trip itinerary includes:

  • The Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain
  • Piazza del Popolo and Navona
  • The Roman Forum and Palatine Hill
  • The Colosseum and the Circus Maximus
  • Imperial Fora, Forum Boarium and Holitorium
  • The Theatre of Marcellus, Portico of Octavia, and Tiber Island
  • Capitoline and Vatican Museums
  • Res Gestae
  • The Mausoleum of Augustus and the Ara Pacis Museum
  • The Pantheon

Pricing

The price of the trip is inclusive of coach travel to and from Manchester Airport, flights, hotel accommodation, meals on a half-board basis and a trip hooded sweatshirt. The cost is £1250.00. An instalment plan has been circulated to families in the appropriate year groups.

To secure a place, you will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of £450.00 via ParentPay.
