Teesside High School celebrates excellent A-level success

44% of all examination results at the 6 months-18 years school in Eaglescliffe received impressive A*-A grades, with recipients now progressing to study the likes of ecology and wildlife conservation, zoology and Software Engineering, securing places at top universities and highly competitive apprenticeships.
In addition, an outstanding 83% of all examination results achieved high grades (A*-B), allowing students to progress to their favoured university destinations and chosen careers.
Kirsty Mackenzie, Head at Teesside High School, said:
“I am extremely proud of each pupil and what they have achieved, not only today but in their time at Teesside High School.
“We provide a caring, friendly and dynamic environment in which each individual is nurtured, challenged and supported. It is this focus on excellent teaching and learning which was highlighted strongly in our recent Independent Schools Inspectorate report – where Teesside High was graded to be Excellent across the board.
“Today’s results and the students’ chosen next steps demonstrate how we genuinely care about enabling each pupil to thrive in whatever area they put their mind to.
“I hope each and every pupil is proud of what they have achieved and excited about what comes next – we wish them the best of luck.”
