I’ve been teaching since 2019, working in Middlesbrough and Darlington. Previous to that, I studied my Computing degree at the University of Sunderland; I loved my time there and met some amazing academics who taught me ways of doing things that I still use in my teaching practice today!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love being able to impart my knowledge and enthusiasm for Computer Science to pupils and finding new ways to bring new educational experiences to the classroom – think robotics and VR!
What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?
I love how welcoming every person (and dog!) has been since the day I started. The outpouring of care and genuine desire to learn is something that I have never experienced in any other school before.
What is your favourite time of the year?
I love the lead up to Christmas – especially spending my time outside of school volunteering for Stockton Round Table and bringing the Santa Sleigh to the people of Teesside!
What do others say about you?
I’m always bubbly and outgoing and that I really should buy a new joke book… my ‘dad’ jokes are too repetitive apparently!
