Life before Teesside High School

Life before Teesside High School was brief; I was a pupil here from age 5 to 18. I then studied Geography at Salford University before completing my PGCE. I began my teaching career in an all boys comprehensive school in Liverpool. I returned to Teesside in 2002 where I have worked in a number of schools and sixth form colleges.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love that Geography is so visual. Landscapes can be studied and processes driving change can be explored. Taking students on field trips brings Geography to life and makes pupils curious about the world around them.

What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?

The strong school community and the view of the school grounds from my classroom window.

What is your favourite time of the year?

I love the summer term.  It’s a great time of year to take pupils on field trips.

What do others say about you?

They would say that I love to travel. I do!
