Life before Teesside High School
After graduating from University of Salford, I taught Performing Arts at Stage Schools across Manchester for several years. When I moved back to the North East I gained QTS with 3-7 Specialism and became a teacher at a primary school in Stockton where I worked for multiple years before taking up my position at Teesside High.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the rewarding feeling that comes from helping a child to achieve something and watching their confidence grow. It makes me very happy to see children reaching their goals and flourishing both academically and socially. I also love that children never fail to surprise me, which makes every day different.
What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?
The calm and nurturing atmosphere is what I love the most about Teesside High School, along with the small family-like community. I also love spending time learning in the woods, the grounds are beautiful which makes it a really enjoyable place to spend time.
What is your favourite time of year?
My favourite time of the year is spring, as the sun starts to make a more frequent appearance, signalling that winter is finally over! I also love seeing lambs in the fields and watching the flowers grow.
What do others say about you?
Others would say that I am bubbly, caring and that I always go the extra mile. They would also say that I have a good sense of humour!
