How long have you been at Teesside High School?

I joined THS at the beginning of Year 12. While I have only been here for a short time, I have had no problems settling in, as everyone is very friendly here!

What has been the highlight of your time at Teesside High School?

I’ve enjoyed many aspects of THS, but my favourite part has probably been getting involved in the annual school play! It has been a great opportunity to meet new people and everyone is involved regardless of how many lines you have.

Which subjects are you studying?

Biology, Chemistry and Geography, in addition to an EPQ on the UK’s temperate rainforests.

What are your aspirations beyond Teesside High School?

I’m thinking of studying Zoology at university, though I’m not entirely certain yet. Aside from school I’d love to travel the world (especially China!) and would like to write a book one day.

What are your hobbies and interests?

Reading, hiking, piano, video games and drawing. I love learning new things and getting lost in fictional worlds when reading books.

What are you going to bring to your role?

I hope to be there for students to answer any questions they might have about musical theatre at THS and to encourage other students to get involved, whether that be through music recitals, the school play, or even as part of the audience! It’s normal to feel nervous when putting yourself out there, (especially if it’s your first time performing) but I want to let students know that it isn’t as scary as they may think it is and it’s also a great opportunity to make new friends.
