Sporting Tea-Time Talk with Dr Stacey Emmonds

Tuesday 06 February 2024 | By Megan Connor

We are delighted to invite you to an exciting sporting Tea-Time Talk with Dr Stacey Emmonds on Wednesday 13 March, 4.15pm-5.15pm. This event will take place in the Dining Hall and refreshments will be provided.

Dr Stacey Emmonds is an Associate Professor in Sports Performance at Leeds Beckett University. She completed her studies in America while playing football on a scholarship in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) top division. She has published over 50 research articles in relation to sports performance and football and currently leads a number of research partnerships in men’s professional football in England as well as leading the FA Women’s Demands of the Game Project. Alongside her research role, Stacey also has a number of consultancy roles, including her role as the fitness coach for the England Women’s U19s team, working as a coach mentor for FIFA, and as an advisory board member for UEFA.

Stacey has a wealth of experience in these fields and I am sure will have plenty of interesting insights into Sports Performance, as well as the many different careers and opportunities this area could offer our pupils. This event has been organised with our Able, Gifted and Talented sporting community in mind, but we welcome all students from Years 5-13 and their families to join us. Please confirm your attendance using the Google Form circulated.

We look forward to seeing you there!
