Prep School Council Beach Clean

Tuesday 13 June 2023 | By Megan Connor

Our Prep School Council have recently completed their last community outreach activity of the year by completing a beach clean at Seaton Carew.

Back in September, when the children were asked about the activities that they would like to complete to help and outreach into the community, the first and most popular suggestion was a beach clean.

The children have patiently waited for the warmer weather and lighter nights of the summer term and eventually were able to take part in a litter pick on and around the beach at Seaton Carew.  The children worked in pairs to collect as much rubbish as possible and worked incredibly well together throughout the trip.

No trip to the seaside would be complete without a fish and chip tea and so after their clean up efforts, we headed to the chip shop for refuelling!  Some of the children also had time for a quick ice-cream before heading back to school.

I am really proud of all of the Prep School Council representatives for their efforts this year and their willingness to get involved and support our local community in a number of ways.  They have always been excellent ambassadors for the school and a real pleasure to work with.

Well done to you all.
