Teesside High School pupils are celebrating following a clean sweep of Distinction awards in their recent Speech and Drama examinations.

17 students from across our Prep and Senior Schools completed an examination with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) earlier this term.

LAMDA is our chosen examiner for our thriving Speech and Drama provision, and pupils had been working very hard in their co-curricular lessons since September.

Their task, to perform in front of a visiting examiner, is no mean feat, and we were delighted to receive the official results very recently which indicated that every single Teesside High School pupil achieved the very highest grade – a Distinction.

Mrs Jackson, Speech and Drama Teacher at Teesside High School, said: “We are thrilled with these results and very proud of our pupils.

“As well as attaining the highest award in their examination, two of our Senior School students on the programme were entered at Grade Six and received a Bronze Medal and UCAS points to add to their university applications, which is super impressive.”
