Learning Lunch with Julie Liddell – Monday 11 December

Monday 27 November 2023 | By Megan Connor

Following the success of our first Learning Lunch for Sixth Form students, we are delighted to share details of our next event, which will take place on Monday 11 December.

For those who missed our last session, Learning Lunch is a chance for THS Sixth Form students to hear from, question and network with local, experienced business professionals, all during a convenient time in school – their lunch break.

This time around, we invite pupils to join us to hear from psychology teacher, wellbeing facilitator and entrepreneur Julie Liddell, founder and MD of Still Human. Julie will share her career journey to date, new venture in start-up business Still Human and her experience in both education and entrepreneurship.

Julie’s business uses psychological theory to influence behavioural change and mindfulness to enhance calm, focus and positive action. This is the perfect opportunity for students to learn more about self-care in the run up to examinations, as well as hear from a super inspiring local businesswoman.

Given the pertinence of the topic for those at the top of the school, we are pleased to extend this invite to Year 11 pupils, too. Students will be invited to take an early lunch, and make their way to Room 25 for a 1.20pm start.

We look forward to sharing Julie’s visit with you, and writing again with details of the next Learning Lunch in the New Year. If you know anyone who would be keen to visit and share their career success with our students, please do get in touch via shockney@teessidehigh.co.uk
