Year 7 Information Evening – Thursday 5 October, 6.00pm-7.30pm

Monday 18 September 2023 | By Megan Connor

We are delighted to invite you to our Year 7 Information Evening on Thursday 5 October.

Although it may seem like the academic year has only just started, we are very proud of our active transition programme which makes your child’s journey to the Senior School a very seamless progression indeed. At the heart of this programme are regular touchpoints to ensure you as parents are informed and guided every step of the way.

Our Year 7 Information Evening is for both THS parents and those in the local community exploring our school for their child’s next step. The event will start at 6.00pm; please report to the Senior Student Entrance upon arrival. Refreshments will be served prior to a short presentation, giving you an insight into life in the Senior School. Key staff will be on hand to answer your questions, including staff responsible for pastoral support and the transition into Year 7, our Senior Leadership Team, some current pupils and Form Tutors. Year 6 pupils are very welcome to attend with you if you wish, but their attendance is by no means obligatory.

At the meeting, you will also be provided with details of future events that we have planned including Transition Days, Scholarship Assessments and exciting social opportunities along the way. We will, of course, send you more details of these in due course.

Please confirm your attendance by emailing our friendly admissions team via admissions@teessidehigh.co.uk

We look forward to seeing you there!

“Choosing Teesside High has been absolutely the right decision for our daughter. The many carefully planned transition events meant that she had made lots of friends even before Year 7 had started, which filled us, and her, with confidence. Since joining the school, she is thriving academically, is cared for by a wonderful pastoral team, and has taken up the vast array of opportunities to extend and enhance her learning experience at THS, through things such as sport, music, trips and house events to name just a few. We couldn’t wish for a better place.” – Year 7 Parent
