I studied at York St John University before working in small and large schools across Yorkshire and Leicestershire. Most recently, I taught in a village school in a mixed Year 2/3 class for 6 years. Throughout my teaching, I have also mentored Nottingham Trent University trainee teachers.
I most enjoy building relationships with the children and having a positive classroom environment. I love that every day is different and that there are so many opportunities to learn in a variety of ways!
I love the extra-curricular opportunities that Teesside has on offer, from fantastic school trips to visiting speakers. The Woodlands also provides an amazing learning space for learning amongst nature and exploring the outside world.
My favourite time of year is Spring when new life appears. I love seeing new wildlife, flowers and love the promise of summer months to come.
I would love to say that people find me approachable, kind and passionate about what I do. I am always willing to help others and love working in a team.
