Year 7 students and sports-mad twins Amelia and Imogen have been selected to represent Team GB at the World Dwarf Games in Ontario, Canada, in August.
The girls, who have already built up an impressive collection of medals in various sports and dance championships, will also compete in the National Dwarf Games in Birmingham in April.
Amelia and Imogen are currently spending their every spare moment working with the Sports Department training for their many different sports.
Imogen said: “School is really helping with training. The good thing is we always get the chance to practise, our teacher is always helping us.
“We train during lunch and morning break. The School has been really supportive.”
Vicky Turnbull, Director of Sport, said: “Everyone at Teesside High is exceptionally proud of Amelia and Imogen and their continued achievements both in and out of School.
“The girls are a pleasure to teach. They throw themselves into our range of co-curricular opportunities and experiences and are regular faces in our successful sports teams.
“As a small community, we value each individual’s contribution to School and take the time to work with students on a one-to-one basis to enhance their performance and progression. We are currently working with Amelia and Imogen on a tailored programme which will provide them with additional coaching and training prior to their competitions.
“We will be cheering the girls on every step of the way.”
