Year 13 students are finding that all-important next step is falling into place.
The year group already has university offers flooding in; 45 so far from Russell Group universities, six unconditional offers for subjects such as Biochemistry, Pharmacy and Business Management, three scholarships, an Oxford place and now, five further offers for Medicine.
We are extremely proud to extend our congratulations to Flora, Phoebe and Libby, who have all received prestigious offers from Russell Group universities to study Medicine in September.
The girls have each participated in the School’s Pre-Med course since their days in the Senior School and have worked exceptionally hard to prepare for the many rounds of tests and interviews prior to receiving their offers.
Aspiring medic, Libby, said: “I am thrilled to have received offers from Russell Group universities to study something I have wanted to do from a very young age. The support that I have received from THS Sixth Form staff with my personal statement and interview practice has been invaluable and really prepared me for each stage of the process, from organising work experience to sitting challenging aptitude tests.”
Flora said: “It has always been my dream to study medicine and I am really excited about what lies ahead.  I could not be more grateful for everything Teesside High School has given me.”
Phoebe, who hopes to be a psychiatrist in the future, said: “I have had to work the hardest I have ever worked, and THS has allowed me to do that – to be totally focused. Now, I am looking forward to university and that motivates me to work harder still. I feel like my ambition is becoming a reality.”
