A* success at Teesside High School

Teesside High School boosted its A* pass rate to 26% in 2017, an increase of 12% from the previous year. Almost half of all GCSE entries were awarded A* or A grades.
There were outstanding individual performances from:

  • Sophie, 12 A*
  • Molly Emerson, 11 A*
  • Carmen Ezinwoke, 10 A*, 1 A
  • Katherine Gaskin, 10 A*, 1 A
  • Yousuf Qureshi, 1 A**, 7 A*, 3 A
  • Allie Losey, 8 A*, 3 A
  • Callum Davies, 1 A**, 6 A*, 4 A
  • Sanjay Kumarendran, 7 A*, 4 A
  • Ella Smith, 4 A*, 6 A

Teesside High School achieved:

  • 26% of entries at A*, a 12% rise from 2016
  • 47% of entries at A*-A, a 2% rise from 2016
  • 18 students achieved A*-C grades in GCSE Further Maths, with two students securing prestigious A** grades and five at A*.
